Dalmatia is divided into two parts, an insular part where there are numerous paradise islands in the middle of the Adriatic, or in its peinsular area, with some of the most important cities. Both areas are very touristic today, Preko, Dugi Otok, Korat, Zirje, Zolta, Brac, Hvar Island, Mljet, or Jorkula are some of the more frequented islands, while Sibenik, Split, Zadar, or Dubrovnik (known as the pearl of the Adriatic Sea), are its most important peninsular cities. The Peninsula of Dalmatia has incredible places to visit like Split, the most important and populated city in the region, which is known for its Diocletian Palace, a work of the Roman Empire, and built for rest and relaxation. Dubrovnik is a tourist city, and one of the most important in this sense. It is known as the Marbella of the Adriatic Sea, and is a city full of luxury and beaches.
After that come main cities like Sibenik, Zadar, Makarska, Dugi Rat, Trogir, Vodice… all places that are well visited on the Dalmatian Coast in Croatia. It is an ideal place to spend your vacation. In all of the cities are ample accommodation options for your holiday. Hotels, apartments, hostels, and also possibilities to hire a yacht charter to enjoy your holiday in Croatia, in Dalmatia, on the Adriatic. |
